Mustafa Ghafoor
Mustafa is Co-founder and CEO at Salaam Recovery. Mustafa has 7+ years of investment banking, finance, and operations experience. He has significant experience in the healthcare finance space as a senior Investment Banking Associate in the Healthcare group at Baird, a leading investment bank in Chicago. He also previously spent time as Manager of Corporate Development and Strategy at Alight Solutions, a health benefits administration and HR tech company. Mustafa holds double degrees in Accounting and Finance from the Strobel Honors Accounting Program at DePaul University and has an inactive CPA license.

Mubeena Siddiqui
Mubeena is Co-founder and COO at Salaam Recovery. Mubeena has 10+ years Behavioral Health Revenue Cycle Operations, Addiction treatment, and marriage and family therapy experience. She has started off her career as a client facing provider and has clinical experience at all levels of care.Progressing through her career, she then went out to build and support revenue cycle operations for all levels of care including telehealth outpatient, IOP, PHP, and residential level programs. She also has 5+ years experience in health care compliance. She is passionate about creating accessible and effective mental health services for all communities and populations.

Clinical Director, Co-Founder, LCSW
Hira Rehman-Ashraf
Hira is Co-founder and the Clinical Director at Salaam Recovery. Her work includes treatment of substance abuse disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. With over 7 years of experience, she has worked in both the hospital setting and private practice. She worked at Alexian Brother’s Behavioral Health Hospital for 4 years and in private practice for 4+ years. During her time at ABBHH, she worked in the Center for Addiction Medicine PHP and IOP program as a therapist/case manager, group therapist, and Aftercare therapist. Hira has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Criminology, Law, & Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s degree in Social Work, with a concentration in mental health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Amer Raheemullah, MD, is an advisor at Salaam Recovery. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department. He specializes in the treatment of addiction, has published chapters and peer-reviewed articles in this area, and is Director of the Addiction Medicine Consult Service at Stanford Hospital. He is board-certified in Addiction Medicine and Internal Medicine and has a special interest in developing novel methods to increase access to addiction treatment, through criminal justice, healthcare, and tech-enabled solutions. Dr. Raheemullah completed his undergraduate degree at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, his medical residency in Internal Medicine at University of Illinois and his fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
